The Awareness Group of Asante Kotoko SC led by Edwin Okyere Boateng today presented two (2) pair of boot to Asante Kotoko SC’s darling boy Maxwell Baako “Messi”. The presentation was made on Friday 1st March, 2019 at 6pm at the Sports Hotel in Kumasi. Members of the Awareness Group present during the presentation were: Edwin Okyere Boateng (Chairman), Enoch Owusu (Vice Chairman), Gabriel Ofori Bosco (Policy Strategist), Commander Griffith Adusei (member), Alex Kwame Twumasi Danquah (Member).
The former Karela United diminutive midfielder joined the Porcupines in October, 2018 as part of Coach Charles Kwablan Akunnor’s players requested to strengthen the squad.
Maxwell Baako popularly known in the local football scene as ” Messi ” has been a key influence in the Asante Kotoko SC set up, aiding the team to qualify to the Group Stage of The CAF Confederations Cup which was a difficult task for the Club in the last ten (10) years.
As part of the strategies of the Awareness Group of Asante Kotoko SC in creating a positive impact for the club, a committed member of the Group by name Desmond based in the United States of America on behalf of the Awareness Group bought the two (2) pair of boot from his base.
In an interview with the Chairman of the Awareness Group, Edwin Okyere Boateng, he intimated that “The Awareness Group has come to stay and this is just the beginning, we are looking at the entire team and our most committed supporters in future and possibly with the help of our highly rated committed members, we can achieve our utmost aim to help our darling Club, Asante Kotoko SC. The Chairman was also grateful to his members, the Asante Kotoko SC family, the General Public and the Media for their unflinching support since the Awareness Group came into existence.
