According to Okudzeto Ablakwa, Nana Addo has splashed an accumulated 3.5 million Ghana cedis on his trips to the United Kingdom and the United States of America. This comes after few days the president assented to the E- Levy bill.
In a tweet on Sunday April 3, the opposition lawmaker said in relation to the current trip of the President that “President Akufo-Addo returns to renting his favourite ostentatious US$18,000 an hour ultra-luxury executive jet, few hours after signing the obnoxious and unconstitutional E-Levy. So far, for his current US & UK trip, he has accumulated a bill of US$465,000 = (GHS3.5million).”
Felix Kwakye Ofusu recently in a Facebook post ranted about the expenditure. He wrote, “President Akufo-Addo has promptly returned to his extravagant ways, wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars on the rental of his favorite opulent jet even as our own Presidential jet remains in good condition, just days after ramming the e Levy down the throats of Ghanaians”.
Do you think the President is burdening Ghanaians with this expenditure when the presidential jet is available?
