“Cooking is not just about ingredients, recipes, and cooking. It’s about harnessing imagination, empowerment, and creativity.”– Guy Fieri
The test of kitchen prowess is loosely modeled after the infamous cross border Ghana – Nigeria War – The “Jollof War”. The ‘culinary arts’ episode pitched delegates against each other as they try to prepare delicious Jollof dishes from a selection of assigned ingredients with the secret ingredient – Tasty Tom tomato paste.
‘The cooking challenge doubles as an outlet for delegates to practice social purchasing skills as they pick out fresh food items on the open market’ said Teddy Nanor, producer for Miss Malaika 2022.
How do you cook your Jollof? What makes your jollof special? Is there a signature taste? Any family recipe passed down from older generations? If you are “Jollof Recipe” shopping, then don’t miss this episode as the delegates, paired in 8 groups of 2, introduce their secret recipes that puts the ‘oh’ in their delicious Ghana Jollof. This might be an opportunity to add to your cooking skills to become a great chef! After all, the easiest way to win a heart is through the stomach.
Who wins the Jollof war? Which group wins the cooking episode and gets immunity from the upcoming eviction. Previous Episode saw the ladies being spared of evictions, this week might be different. Which delegate(s) will be on the eviction chopping board this week? Catch all these and more TONIGHT on GHOne TV and Mx24 at 9pm and streaming live on all Miss Malaika socials.
